![]() ![]() When recording a vocal, when the error message comes up, if I quickly click on the CONTINUE button, recording is flawless. I found three post on the LE8 in APPLE SUPPORT DISCUSSIONS from as far back as 2007 and there were no answers to the questions. ![]() The new MOTU upgrade DID NOT FIX the audio/MIDI sync error and it is driving me nuts. If you don't get the message, then we may be on to something! Anyway, I have no idea if this theory holds any water, but if you could try externally clocking your MOTU stuff, (make sure the sample rate matches your project settings) and see how it runs for a while. So my theory is that somehow this condition is reported to the core audio driver and understood by Logic as a loss of sync, even when there really isn't one. Interestingly, I will occasionally get that message when something plugged into one of my RME digital inputs, (AES or one of the ADAT ports) is running at a different sample rate, even though I haven't told the RME to clock from that input. I haven't checked with her to see if it was a permanent fix. However, when we plugged a device with a digital output into the Motu's SPDIF In, then changed the clock source in the MOTU control panel to external SPDIF rather than "internal", the message didn't reappear for the rest of that day. I was helping a student with their rig Macbook/Motu/Logic) and she was getting the same error message. I have a theory about this, but it's only based on very limited experience with MOTU audio interfaces. ![]()
